Ladies Luncheon - March 14th - Learning about Service Dogs!

Join us Thursday, March 14th at the Ladies’ Luncheon, as we meet Cathy Powell, Founder of Loving Angels Service Dogs. Our Social Hour starts at 11:30am and our speaker will begin at noon, lunch is served afterward at around 12:30. We’ll be having Corned Beef and Cabbage, served with red potatoes and carrots along with rolls and a house salad with Pistachio ice cream for dessert. Cathy Powell has been training dogs for over 55 years.  She finally was able to realize her dream of training service dogs when she founded Loving Angel Service Dogs - a 501(c)(3) - in 2012.  Loving Angel places well-trained service dogs with U.S. Military Veterans at no cost to them and to others for a nominal fee.  It is a totally volunteer organization and is powered by about thirty volunteers and funded through private donations.

For the presentation, Cathy and volunteers will bring a couple of the dogs in training and will demonstrate their training methods as well as show pictures of previous dogs and their handlers and some video of the dogs working!
