Find Your Purpose & Passion – At Any Age!
Join us January 10th at the Ladies’ Luncheon, as one local resident shares how she found her true calling (at the age of 61) after moving to St. George, and embracing a brand-new self-image and life. Popular culture would have us believe that women “of a certain age” no longer have value, and should quietly fade away into the background. Well, ladies – it’s time to kiss that idea good-bye!

Meet Marianne Hamilton!
Marianne Hamilton is a veteran journalist whose work has appeared in regional and national publications, and a marketing writer for Fortune 500 corporate clients. She is a member of the St. George Arts Commission, she is the chair-elect of the board of directors of Art Around the Corner, and she manages special events for the Docutah International Documentary Film Festival. Marianne is also a contributing author for SG Health & Wellness magazine, a water fitness instructor for the City of St. George, and is the co-director of the Race Walking and Power Walking events at the Huntsman World Senior Games. In 2019, Marianne will be the national co-director of the new Power Walking events at the National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM.

Marianne came to athletic competition very late in life, but has since earned a wall-full of medals (primarily gold) in Race Walking from Senior Games across the U.S. In November of 2018, she was the Overall Champion in the new “competitive walking” division at the Snow Canyon Half-Marathon. Marianne and her husband Doug are the founders and co-administrators of the US Power Walking Association, a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization whose aim is to promote the positive aspects of Power Walking as both a recreational and competitive sport. The Hamiltons are also the co-administrators of the St. George Wine Club, a 501 c 3 nonprofit social and philanthropic organization.
