BYU vs Utah State 2017

The BYU Cougars and newly minted starting QB Beau Hoge look to turn around their season when they go to play in-state rival, the Utah State Aggies. It will be the 87th meeting between the teams when they get together at 8 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network (live stream).

BYU is coming off a brutal stretch of football, having lost their last three games in a row after starting the season off with a win. BYU’s struggles came against some of the premier programs in college football. It lost to No. 13 LSU, in-state rival Utah, and No. 10 Wisconsin. The Cougars lost starting quarterback Tanner Mangum on the last play of their 19-13 loss to Utah. He was replaced by Beau Hoge, who threw two interceptions in a blowout loss at Wisconsin.

Utah State has had an up and down season with two blowout victories alternated with two blowout losses. Utah State looks to capitalize off momentum from its 61-10 victory over San Jose State. Utah State’s offense has been wildly inconsistent with two games over 50 points coupled with two games only scoring 10 points. The Aggies will need their offense operating at full capacity if they want to secure their first winning streak of the season.
